Prothane Polyurethane Suspension Bushing Kits Chevy Camaro 67-02.

Are the factory installed rubber bushings in your Camaro ready for a change out.  Why not switch to polyurethane bushings.  Urethane is an ideal material for performance suspension bushings, motor and transmission mounts because they are firm enough to control movement.  They also maintain alignment in sway bars, control arms, and other stressed suspension components without the harshness or resonance associated with solid metal suspension bushings.  Once you experience performance increases with Prothane urethane bushings you will never go back to rubber bushings.  Prothane urethane bushings help reduce drive train flex, help eliminate chatter, missed shifts and the sometimes broken parts associated with driveline flex. 

Production vehicles are manufactured using rubber bushings in control arms, strut arms, leaf springs, body mounts, motor mounts, transmission mounts, sway bars and shocks.  Rubber is soft and deteriorates rapidly.  This contributes to premature component failure, a spongy ride and less than ideal handling.  Urethane can correct this condition and improve drivability. 

Kits are available in red or black urethane.  

The camaro kits contain the most popular components for the listed vehicle BUT not necessarily everything that is available. Two notable items would be Motor Mounts or Motor Mount Inserts (separate order item) and Sway Bar Bushings (in some years many sizes are applicable so they must be ordered separately). Your Camaro's ride quality will change a bit; this should be evident in increased performance.  Urethane components do not squeak.  However, squeaking can occur due to lack of lubrication, poor installation, incorrect part, or the urethane is too hard.  In sway bar applications most squeaking can be attributed to not cleaning the bar and failing to use squeak proof super grease.  No special tools will be needed to install these urethane components.  However your car may require the use of special tools and equipment to perform the job.
